PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 10, 2011 - Phoenix, AZ – January 10, 2011 -- Spellbinders™ Paper Arts, LLC is pleased to announce its corporate sponsorship of Global Family Philanthropy’s second annual benefit dinner.  The Imagine Gala event is taking place on January 15th in Paradise Valley, AZ, two days after the one year anniversary of Haiti’s devastating earthquake.  Spellbinders is a 2010 Inc. 500 company, award-winning inventor, manufacturer and marketer of industry-leading tools for crafters

As a corporate sponsor, Spellbinders arranged for donations for the Imagine Gala Event’s silent auction.  Proceeds from the event and silent auction will raise funds so Global Family Philanthropy can rescue and welcome 37 additional orphaned and abandoned Haitian children into Global Family Home’s orphanage.

“We are delighted to participate and assist Global Family Philanthropy in this fund raising effort,” commented Stacey Caron, Spellbinders’ President.  “The response to a request for silent auction donations has been outstanding.  Thank you to our Cross-Promotional Partners and Preferred Stamp Company Partners for donating beautiful products for the silent auction.  Janome America is generously donating two sewing machines, one for the silent auction and one to send to the orphanage.  I can’t thank Janome enough and thank Tamara Hanes of All American Crafts for helping to make this possible.”

Companies donating products to make the Imagine Gala fund raising event a success are:   ClearSnap, Copic, Creative Impressions, Fancy Pants Designs, Flourishes, Flower Soft, Gina K. Designs, Graphic 45, Heartfelt Creations, Janome, JustRite Stampers, Layers of Color, My Mind’s Eye, Niki Sivils, Scrapbooker, Pink Paisley, Quick Quotes, Red Rubber Cafe, StampingScrapping, Taylored Expressions, Technique Tuesday, Unity Stamps, Waltzingmouse Stamps, and Xyron.

“Global Family Philanthropy's success is all about collaboration.  Spellbinders and Stacey Caron have exemplified their commitment to GFP's efforts in Haiti from the very beginning.  Traveling and crafting with Stacey and Kim Hupke, Spellbinders’ Director of Education, at our orphanage in Les Cayes, Haiti was the most rewarding experience for everyone involved,” said Lori Godlberg, Global Family Philanthropy’s Founder.  “Kim and Stacey were by my side when we rescued Baby Clara.  I will never forget the love they shared and continue to share with our global family.  Spellbinders is a philanthropic corporation, as are their employees and partners.  Together we will continue to embrace and empower our family and friends in Haiti. We've only just begun... look for our crafting/sewing center in 2011.  Global Family Philanthropy is proud to have Spellbinders as a corporate sponsor,” added Goldberg.

Global Family Philanthropy is actively involved with every organization and project they support in Haiti.  The organization provides clothing, school supplies, medicine, personal care items and toys to hospitals, orphanages and schools.
